Kano Taskforce Committee on Motor Parks Hands Over Confiscated Illicit Drugs Worth N1.5B to DMCSA

By Farouk Isa Musa  The Kano State Taskforce Committee on Motor Parks and Other Public Spaces has handed over confiscated illicit drugs worth N1.5 billion to Drugs and Medical Consumables Supply Agency for safe keeping before destruction. Handing over the seized commodities, the Chairman of the Committee, Major Adamu Abubakar Usman (Rtd), said the drugs, which include fake, adultered, counterfeit, expired and other harmful substances, were confiscated from dealers at Dangwaro Market Major Usman assured the people in the state that the Committee will not relent in its responsibility of protecting public health and ensuring compliance with health standards, stressing that the committee is working with market leadership to identify and seize such illicit drugs. Medipool Delegation Visits Kano DMCSA to Assess DRF Operations

The Director General of DMCSA Pharm. Gali Sule disclosed this while speaking during the Fourth Quarter (Q4) 2025 Quarterly Review Meeting, describing the achievement as a major step toward restoring financial stability at the agency and improving healthcare delivery in the state. KHETFUND Disburse Over N2b for 90 Interventions in 2025

By Farouk Isa Musa  In a landmark move to restrengthen the health sector through strategic funding, the Kano State Health Trust Fund (KHETFUND) has disbursed over N2 billion to healthcare facilities, health institutions, as well as health parastatals for some 90 interventions in the year 2025. The Executive Secretary of KHETFUND Dr. Fatima Usman Zahraddeen made this known while speaking during the Beneficiaries' Performance Review Meeting organized by the Agency and held, Tuesday, at Comfort Hub Hotel in the metropolis. According to her, the major interventions funded by KHETFUND include the procurement of hospital equipment, constructions and renovations of key infrastructures, payment of accreditation and qualifying examinations, solar power installation, among others.
