Health Sector Champions Rally Behind Abba Kabir Yusuf, He Restored Hope, He Deserves a Second Term Say Dr. Labaran and Dr. Nagoda.

The Honourable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf, and the Executive Secretary, Kano State Hospitals Management Board (HMB), Dr. Mansur Mudi Nagoda, have jointly expressed their unwavering support for the re-election of His Excellency, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, as Governor of Kano State come 2027.

In their joint statement, both health leaders described Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf as a visionary, compassionate, transparent, and reform-driven leader whose administration has redefined governance and restored dignity to public service.

Under Governor Yusuf’s dynamic leadership, the HMB has recorded unprecedented achievements, including Reinstatement of 926 staff on full CONHESS allowance, Employment of 250 doctors and 155 nurses/CHEWs, Accreditation of postgraduate programmes in key medical specialties, Renovation and rehabilitation of over 20 hospitals across the state, Solarization and re-equipping of facilities with modern medical technologies, Establishment of the Abba Care Centre for free treatment of sickle cell patients as well as Continuous provision of free maternity and paediatric services, significantly reducing maternal and infant mortality.

They emphasized that these remarkable strides reflect Governor Yusuf’s unwavering commitment to rebuilding Kano’s healthcare architecture and improving the wellbeing of its citizens.

"Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf has restored confidence in public health institutions, empowered the workforce, and prioritized women and children’s health. His vision is building a healthier, stronger, and more equitable Kano State" Dr Nagoda stated.

The duo jointly called on the people of Kano to re-elect Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf in 2027, reaffirming that Kano is healthier, safer, and stronger under his leadership the journey must continue. "AKY Go Again”
