The Executive Secretary Kano State Hospitals Management Board Dr. Mansur Mudi Nagoda has reaffirm his unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality, equitable, and people-centered healthcare services in alignment with the visionary leadership of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf.

Since assuming office, His Excellency has demonstrated extraordinary dedication toward rebuilding and repositioning the state’s healthcare system. Through bold reforms, massive investments, and an unrelenting focus on human development, the Governor has set a new standard of excellence in public health governance.

The Key Areas of Intervention by His Excellency Include

1. Massive renovation and upgrading of secondary health facilities, ensuring hospitals are functional, dignified, and conducive for both patients and staff.

2. Procurement of modern medical equipment, including diagnostic tools, surgical instruments, emergency care equipment, and maternal health technologies.

3. Reactivation and strengthening of emergency response units, improving rapid intervention and saving lives across communities.

4. Improvement of staff welfare, including prompt payment, promotions, training opportunities, and provision of conducive working environments.

5. Expansion of maternal, newborn, and child health services, reducing preventable deaths and easing financial burdens on families.

7. Reintroduction of free and subsidized healthcare programs to ensure the less privileged are not denied access to essential services.

7. Rehabilitation of critical healthcare infrastructures such as laboratories, theatres, water supply lines, electricity backup systems, and inpatient wards.

These strategic interventions are restoring public confidence and ensuring that every Kano citizen receives dignified, quality, and affordable healthcare.

The Honorable Commissioner, Kano State Ministry of Health, Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf, praised the Governor for his historic and people-focused health initiatives. He described Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf as a leader whose compassion, foresight, and commitment to human development continue to reshape the health landscape of the state.

Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf reaffirmed the Ministry’s readiness to continue working hand-in-hand with the Hospitals Management Board to sustain ongoing reforms, strengthen service delivery, and maintain accountability across all hospitals. He noted that the synergy between the Ministry and HMB reflects the Governor’s directive to build a unified, efficient, and citizen-driven health system.

The Executive Secretary of HMB assures the public that the Board will remain steadfast in executing the Governor’s directives, improving staff performance, enhancing patient experience, and ensuring that all facilities maintain the highest standards of care.
