Kano State Hospitals Management Board Holds Quarterly Top Management Committee (TMC) Review Meeting

The Kano State Hospitals Management Board (HMB) has successfully conducted its quarterly Top Management Committee (TMC) review meeting, bringing together all Directors of the Board as well as Zonal and Chief Medical Directors from the sixteen (16) hospital zones across the state.
The crucial meeting served as a platform to review progress, discuss challenges, and chart the way forward toward enhancing service delivery and operational efficiency across all secondary health facilities under the board.
In his opening remarks, the Executive Secretary of the Board, who chaired the meeting, expressed deep appreciation to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, for his timely interventions, unwavering commitment, and consistent support to the health sector. He noted that the Governor’s passion for the well-being of citizens has continued to transform healthcare delivery in the state, adding that “the Hospitals Management Board has never requested any support from His Excellency without receiving prompt and positive response.”
The Executive Secretary further urged all Zonal and Chief Medical Directors to intensify supervision, uphold accountability, and ensure quality service delivery in their respective zones. He emphasized the need to align facility activities with the vision of the present administration, which prioritizes accessible, affordable, and efficient healthcare for all.
He also reiterated that the government under His Excellency, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, remains resolute in upgrading hospital infrastructure, improving staff welfare, and ensuring adequate supply of essential drugs and equipment to meet the growing demands of the health sector.
The meeting concluded with renewed commitment from all stakeholders to sustain teamwork, transparency, and dedication toward achieving a stronger, more responsive, and people-centered healthcare system in Kano State.
