HMB Commends Zonal Director of Sheikh Muhammad Jidda General Hospital for Exceptional Performance

The Executive Secretary Kano State Hospitals Management Board Dr. Mansur Mudi Nagoda has commended the Zonal Director of Sheikh Muhammad Jidda General Hospital, popularly known as Asibitin Kuroda, Dr. Fatima Hamza (PT), for her outstanding performance since assuming office 17 months ago.
This came after the Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Abdullahi Musa received commendation from individuals praising her remarkable leadership and achievements at the hospital. Upon receiving these reports, the Office of the Head of Service conducted a thorough investigation to ascertain the authenticity of the claims.
Consequently, Dr. Fatima Hamza was invited as a special guest to the 79th meeting of the Head of Service Directorate which holds every Friday at the office of the head of service, to share her experiences and success stories with other directors.
Among her notable achievements include
- Clearance of a ₦4.7 million debt owed to DMCA inherited upon assumption of duty.
- Settlement of ₦2.8 million internal market debt.
- Solarization of the Laboratory, Accident & Emergency (A&E), and Pharmacy units.
- Construction of a new Physiotherapy Gym.
- Improved patient satisfaction and enhanced quality of service delivery.
- Steady water supply within the facility.
- Clearance of outstanding debts with PAC.
- 100% sanitation and cleanliness across the hospital premises.
- Round-the-clock medical services ensuring the presence of medical personnel at all times.
- Provision of modern dental equipment
- Provision of fully automated haematology analyser for Laboratory services
- Provision of fully automated chemistry analyser for Laboratory services
The Head of Service lauded Dr. Fatima Hamza’s commitment, transparency, and innovation in service delivery, describing her as a shining example of effective leadership in the state’s health sector.
He further called on other public servants and hospital administrators to emulate her dedication, integrity, and results-driven approach towards improving healthcare delivery in Kano State.
